seven days

seven days ago,
not very long before,
i met a strange door,
i spoke to the things so new,
i even told them of me and who,
bit by bit i came and drew
a conclusion that i was not new.
The next hours we dangled in,
for a few seconds we threw questions in a bin,
nothing really mattered in this old skin,
so we drove past the and thick and thin.
The blood warmed up at the presence of her,
she knew what she wanted beneath the stir,
so i passsed along and told her so,
I came to know she was just a throw in and fro.
now she's not here i sit along,
wandering if all that lasted forlon,
strangled beneath a pretence of dawn,
that never came and sensed a song,
so beautiful as her more than the morn.

something

in my mind there's something,
in my my heart there might be another,
in my soul theremight be someother,
but in my mind there might be something.
so you thing there's a way out,
may be you will be saved if you shout,
but you know there's a doubt,
if you land up in shorter than a cloud.
if there be a single way,
out of this conundrum of sway,
I would be loved by you someday.
Tell me if you hear the way,
if I want a little out of the bay,
sense a bit from the day,
become what ever you may.

Waiting peace

There is a sigh around my nose,

It hangs around, so close to my soul,

I close my eyes and wrinkle my brows,

Give a desperate sigh out through my nose.

Then, I lie back and think about, a day;

Today; was a good day, but I felt astray;

My head, resting on a side for a while,

I catch a glimpse of a dismal corner,

And breathe; out, a sigh through my nose.

Sometimes, I cannot sleep with eyes closed,

Many hours have I spent dreaming of you,

But there are many things that I think through,

May be thats why I sigh through my nose.

Its past the hour of night now,

A silence fills the calm air outside,

Faint drops of water glide down,

There is a wet ground, so cold outside;

Shivers my spine to think of a time,

If I have to spend in pain,

Thank God if he is there not in vain,

Then, back to my world ofcourse,

So I sigh again through my nose.

Seeker

I thought that I could be great

May be, change that power of take,

To live amidst the taste,

Of freedom for no one's sake.

I landed among bonded souls,

Who sought the Goal,

Of one's liberation through an oath,

Satisfied only by woes.

So, I drifted my lonely path,

In search of another start,

I walked into a cloud,

Veiled by diamonds and doubt.

Still I ventured within,

Found that substance was there.

As I saw I realised,

And so I was surprised,

I came out at once,

All this changed me to crumbs.

Who should be that I seek?

The god after we speak,

Or change my course,

Dammed by the beauty of whores.

Whom do I listen?

To the sound of the silent morning?

Coming out in glisten,

Even fulfilling your yearning.

All through this I have seen,

Only to head back where ,

I have always been.

the state of mind

she was there when I saw her,

she was always in the dark,

she never knew that the day was near,

she never knew that the sand was soft.

she was afraid of the sea ,

she was afraid of the breeze,

she was away from the crowd,

she was away from the cloud.

but she knew that she was improper,

she knew she was a stopper,

she knew she could do well ,

may be even excel,

she saw the look she knew,

she saw the hunger she drew,

but she wanted a few,

maybe two days more she knew.

so she moved to the lake ,

she crossed the gate,

she jumped in to bathe,

in the clear water of snakes,

they wriggled around her ,they gave

demons from the grave,

she got her breath to save

a long haul to stay

one more time to see a day,

different from the way,

she looked at me and stayed.

she looked at me and stayed.

days n months

days and months go by
the wind just blows by
the stars pass by
even the rivers have all dried
catch your mind and wonder why?
so if you think you can make it
take a break and shake it
walk past these coals
and not fake it;
wear your wounds in solitude
smile to the destitute
even greet the prostitute.
remember to lose your self
change to the soul you felt
even if the ice melts.
be there and be fair
if they laugh, be on the chair
if they starve, care
show the world if you are
bold to be a part
don't wait, start!

Ranikor, Meghalaya, India

On the edge of Meghalaya, a crack between the Shillong plateau flows river Kynshi into Bangladesh. The weather is erratic and the road is long but the in end you forget all that and only remember this. Surrounded by tropical forest with Dipterocarps and Duabanga on all sides, you can hear cicadas damping every other sound around.

dawki, Meghalaya, India

About 60kms from shillong is an old route to Tamabil used since the days much before the Raj for trade between Khasis and Bangladesh. Till date this continues. A scenic evening from above the cliff as it hangs imposingly overlooking the plains holds a place called Dawki. Absolutely magnificent with beetle nut plantations and brooms. Plenty of river quarries stand below on the shallow waters which appear dark bluish to emarald.
